This vintage may well be the greatest ever made in Pauillac in recent years. Château Gaudin has a dark garnet red colour with plenty of depth. Expressive and balanced, the nose reveals powerful fruit aromas â€?sour cherry, blackcurrant and also vanilla and roasted notes. The palate is ripe, spicy and gives us a powerful, robust structure while keeping plenty of finesse with gentle notes of oak. The finish brings us a vibrant acidity with black fruit flavours.
