Built in 1120, this Château is the oldest in the Médoc. Since then, the passage of time brought with it a string of owners (including, around the year 1500, the family of Michel de Montaigne!) until it was finally acquired in our time by the ambitious winegrower, Bernard Magrez. A great buy, this Cru Classé brings us a very fine vintage with a most alluring profile… With its lovely purity of aromas, the wine is smooth and offers supple, well-integrated tannins all the way to the finish, which is balanced and fruity… This is a high-flying Haut-Médoc!!
