The Château Ormes de Pez estate dates to the 18th century and was bought by Domaines Jean-Michel Cazes (owner of Lynch-Bages) in the wake of the second world war. Located on the left bank of Bordeaux, in the commune of Saint-Estèphe, the wines are powerful, yet characterised by an elegance of structure. Château Ormes de Pez is crafted predominantly with Cabernet Sauvignon and complemented by a generous amount of Merlot for a combination of longevity and smoothness. A powerful and distinctive Saint-Estèphe, this wine will charm you with its opulence, elegance and well-rounded structure. The palate offers robust tannins whilst retaining a smooth, fleshy side. 2015 was an excellent vintage in Bordeaux and this wine is capable of many years graceful ageing if well cellared.
