This has plenty of sappy red and black fruits backed up with toasty new oak flavours and touches of spice on the finish. Jean Mestreguilem calls the vintage “complicated, but finally good” observing that it’s very ripe which you can certainly see in the quality of the tannins. A very fine wine which Jean suggests is close to 2020 and 2010 in terms of style.
