Its name, derived from the words “Puy” (mound) and “Castéra” (camp, fortress), reflects its historic location. Classified as a Cru Bourgeois in 1978, the château enjoys a prestigious location close to thegrands crusof the Médoc. The estate’s wines, known for their deep ruby colour and intense black fruit aromas, offer a structure of ripe tannins and rich balance, making Château Puy Castéra a jewel of the Bordeaux terroir.
