STORY BEHIND THE WINE
George Thienpont made the Côtes de Francs famous when he acquired this property in 1946. He planted it with vines in the late 1970s and the wines became ambassadors for the region. Nicolas Thienpont took over the estate in 1983. In recent years, replanting of the vineyard has improved the precision of the wine, thanks to rootstocks adapted to the soil, a precise choice of clones and high-quality massal selection. The red wine is a great favourite: spicy and rich, with a good earthiness and black fruit aromas, it has good freshness thanks to the clay soils
