For reference, the Grand Cru classification is the highest appellation on the AOC classification scale. And with good reason: of the 300 or so villages in the Champagne PDO, only 17 villages in the whole of Champagne can claim to be Grand Cru villages. This prestigious appellation was established on the basis of the quality of the grapes grown in these vineyards, but also according to certain criteria of slope and exposure of the hillsides. Made from an exceptional blend ofPinot NoirandChardonnaygrapes, this Tradition GrandBrutcuvée perfectly represents the fundamentals of Champagne. The nose is marked by citrus fruits such as lemon, with hints of violet and red berries. The attack is lively, fresh and very pleasant, and on the palate you’ll find more of these small red fruits, in particular cherries.
