Cuvée 4-5 is a uniqueMummblend ofChardonnay(40%) andPinot Noir(60%) from terroirs classified asGrand Cru . Mineral, frank and lively, the Pinot Noir from Verzenay gives the wine fresh, generous and fruity aromas, while the Pinot Noir from Aÿ and Bouzy, both south-facing vineyards, adds power and vinosity on the palate. The Chardonnay from Cramant produces an elegant, generous wine with fruity, tangy citrus notes, which is a perfect match for the crisp, clean Chardonnay from Avize. To create Cuvée 4.5, these grapes are pressed and vinified separately, before being blended with reserve wines (20%). The dosage (6 grams of sugar per litre), the final touch to the cuvée, is made from the same Grand Cru grapes. Aged for a minimum of four years in cellars and made from five Grand Cru wines, this Champagne takes its name from its characteristics: Cuvée 4-5.
