This pure Chardonnay comes from Monterey, California. It’s a region with a cool climate that generates extremely well-balanced wines with intense flavours and vibrant, natural acidity. Intensely perfumed fruits with a rich concentration are the hallmark of this excellent vintage. On the nose there are aromas of exotic fruits â€?guava and roasted pineapple â€?and floral notes. This wine is aged for 9 months in French barrels, of which 30% are new. Through the use of malolactic fermentation and lees ageing, the wine gains a creaminess on the palate that accentuates its body and depth to great effect. Ideal to savour with something like a chicken tagine with apricots.
