About Chateau Croizet Bages:Château Croizet-Bages is a renowned winery located in the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux, France. The estate is part of the larger Bordeaux wine region, which is famous for producing some of the world’s most prestigious and sought-after wines.
History: Château Croizet-Bages has a long and storied history, dating back to the 19th century. The estate was originally part of the larger Lynch-Bages estate, which has a history that can be traced back to the 17th century. In the mid-19th century, the property was divided, and Château Croizet-Bages was established as an independent estate.
Vineyards and Terroir: The vineyards of Château Croizet-Bages are situated on gravelly soils, typical of the Pauillac appellation. The gravelly soils are well-draining, forcing the vines to dig deep for water and nutrients, which helps produce grapes with concentrated flavors. The estate is planted primarily with Cabernet Sauvignon, the dominant grape variety in Pauillac, along with smaller amounts of Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
