Château Ducru-Beaucaillou, a Second Growth (Deuxième Cru) in the 1855 Classification, lies in the Saint-Julien appellation of the Médoc. The name “Beaucaillou” means “beautiful stones,” referencing the large Gunzian gravel beds that define its terroir and lend a distinctive character to its wines.

Ducru-Beaucaillou is renowned for producing elegant, refined wines that blend power with finesse—often described as the most “Bordeaux” of Bordeaux in terms of classical restraint and structure.
