This wine is a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, and 2% Petit Verdot grapes.

TASTING NOTES: It’s dark red in the glass with a violet hue. The nose is aromatic with plenty of dark berries, herbs, sweet spices, and very fine toasted aromas from the 21 months in fine French oak barrels (50% of these barrels were new giving an extra toasty element to the wine). The palate is full ­bodied and fresh with a long, elegant and fruity finish from the Cabernet Sauvignon grape, and a slight plum flavour from the Merlot.

FOOD PAIRING, STORING AND SERVICE: Serve this wine a nice red meat, drink it with a roast beef dinner or lamb shanks. A powerful, well-structured wine that can be enjoyed now till 2028 at least.

ABOUT: Chateau Lagrange is a well-regarded wine estate based in the Saint-Julien appellation of the Haut-Medoc region, north of Bordeaux city, on the left bank. The 157-hectare (of which only 56 are under vines) estate has a rich history dating back as far as 1712. recognized as a meeting place of High Society, often visited by artists drawing inspiration from the impressive landscapes. Chateau Lagrange was classified as a third growth in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc and Graves.
