Château Oumsiyat has been in the Bou Sleiman family for four generations, with current winemaker Joseph Bou Sleiman blending traditional Lebanese know-how with modern winemaking. Based in the village of Mtein, his vineyards sit at 1,000 metres above sea level in the Bekaa Valley, flanked by Mount Lebanon and the Anti-Lebanon Mountains. The combination of altitude, Mediterranean climate, and calcareous clay soils produces wines with freshness, balance, and aromatic complexity.

How it’s made:

• 80% Syrah, 20% Tempranillo from 1,000m altitude vineyards
• Produced using the saignée method for colour and flavour concentration
• Fermented in stainless steel at 14–16°C with selected yeasts
• No oak ageing; no malolactic conversion for a crisp style
