Philippe Viallet bought the Les Fils de René Quénard domaine (18ha of which 15ha Bergeron) in 2008 with ClaireTaittinger , with eponymous champagnes. There is now an on-site manager, Alexis Cote. Aged on the lees for a year, this superb Roussanne was a winner on all fronts: powerful aromas of apricot, rich and round texture, very fruity persistence. Highly artistic!
