This cuvée is made from the oldest vines on the estate (between 40 and 70 years old). They find here an ideal terroir in the commune of Cravant-Les-Coteaux with clay-limestone and clay-siliceous soils. Ageing takes place for 12 months in barrels of several wines so as not to mark the wine too much. The result is a wine with a rich and aromatic nose, on notes of morello cherry, strawberry, raspberry, violet and smoke. The palate is fresh and full, well balanced, with a nice peppery and smoky finish. The ageing potential of this cuvée is based on a good ten years. To fully appreciate it, we recommend that you decant it 1 hour before tasting.
