Made from Chenin Blanc grapes grown on limestone hillsides carefully cultivated by Clos de l’Écotard, this 2022 white Saumur offers an expressive nose combining ripe pear, quince, citrus and white flowers. On the palate, the attack is full-bodied, carried by a mineral tension that brings freshness and precision. The salty finish prolongs this sensation of purity and balance. Aged for 12 months in demi-muids and then refined in vats, this wine combines finesse and ageing potential. The estate has chosen to name this cuvée after the place where it was born, underlining its attachment to the terroir and the pure expression of Chenin.
