Managing Director of AXA Millésimes, the vineyard owning arm of Axa Insurance based in Bordeaux, Christian Seely has a long track record of success in the redevelopment of wine estates, not only in France but further afield in Europe. He himself, however, chose Hampshire for his own brand, buying an 8 hectare established vineyards in Watership Down, Hampshire, and adding it to another 7 hectares which were then planted on the chalk rich soil. Each version is blended from 2 consecutive vintages combining approximately 65% Chardonnay and 35% Pinot Noir, then aged for 3 years. It is very dry with dosage of 10g/l.
