Codorniu Clasico 1872 Brut Cava Sparkling Wine NV salutes the first bottle of cava made by Josep Raventós in 1872. This is a traditional blend par excellence made in the same method as the very first bottle of cava produced by Codorníu in the 19th century. The classic cava trio of Macabeo, Parellada & Xarel Lo are blended in equal measure to provide a cava that is fresh and well balanced. Typical varietal aromas (apple, citrus, almond flowers) are prominent, combined with a slight hint of toastiness from the lees ageing. Ideal as an aperitif, accompanying dried fruit, savoury tarts, canapés, etc.
