Ageing in new French oak brings touches of spices such as pepper, cinnamon and menthol, making a complex and elegant whole. Ever faithful to its style, it is a powerful, muscular wine, with fine, ripe tannins, sweet flavours on the finish and balanced acidity bringing freshness. The finish is very long, ending on flavours of candied fruit and roasted coffee beans.
