The Crédo cuvée comes from the estate’s finest vineyard plots, which flourish on clay-limestone soils with rounded pebbles from the foothills of the Corbières. The blend of CabernetSauvignonand Merlot was aged for 12 months in new French oak barrels, like a great Bordeaux wine. The 1995 vintage was a very fine one, and this cuvée is proof of that. The colour has brick-red highlights that show how it’s developed. The nose is deep and complex with notes of leather, tobacco and fig. On the palate, there’s a lovely balance between mellow, elegant tannins, great maturity and, above all, a freshness that’s still intact, which is really nice.
