This Crianza, from renowned Cune, is a blend of Tempranillo Garnacha and Mazuelo, from Rioja. full of red and dark fruits with classic vanilla spice.

One of our most popular wines, a silky-smooth Rioja from producer Cune, will please everyone! This blend of Tempranillo (85%), and Garnacha (15%) is brimming with red fruits and a tantalising hint of vanilla too from oak ageing.

TASTING NOTE: A deep ruby red colour. On the nose: Brimming with strawberry, raspberry and plum aromas, clear hints of vanilla, liquorice, and cocoa from ageing in American oak barrels. On the palate: Medium in body and full in flavour, with more ripe red fruits, some earthy notes, and a long finish, with smooth well-integrated tannins. It’s juicy and fruity, with a medium to long berry finish.

FOOD PAIRING, STORING AND SERVICE: This wine is extremely easy to drink on its own but is also easily enjoyed with food. Try matching this with barbecue dishes such as pulled pork, or grilled meats work perfectly. For a vegetarian match, an earthy bean or lentil stew/casserole would be great. Drink now or throughout 2026, no need to decant.

ABOUT: CVNE (Compañía Vinicola del Norte de España) is one of the oldest, most trusted estates in Rioja. Confusingly Cune is their brand name for this particular wine! It was established in the town of Haro, Rioja nearly 150 years ago by the Real de Asúa brothers and remains owned by the 5th generation of the same family to this day. The family now have over 400 hectares of vines in the Rioja Alta area as well as two bodegas in Catalonia.
