YannBertrand , a native of Beaujolais, embodies a new generation of committed winemakers, inspired by nature and respect for life. The Les Bertrand family estate, based in Villié-Morgon, practisesorganicviticulture and vinification without additives. Among its most exclusive cuvées, Cuvée Émile pays tribute to Émile, the winemaker’s grandfather, and celebrates the exceptional terroirs of Fleurie. Made from century-old vines grown on granitic sandy soil, it is vinified without added sulphur or yeast, then aged in used barrels with particular care. Produced in very limited quantities, this cuvée embodies the finesse, depth and elegance of Gamay on the appellation’s finest terroirs. Ripe cherries, candied red fruits, floral notes and a touch of minerality blend together in a full-bodied, vibrant and chiselled palate. Each sip reveals a unique personality, both airy and intense, with a lingering and mouth-watering finish. Enjoy with duck breast with cherries or veal chop with chanterelle mushrooms for a subtle combination of finesse and indulgence.
