Produced by Domaine des Chesnaies, a renowned family estate (Lamé-Delisle-Boucard) in the Loire, this wine is one of their most prestigious vintages for ageing. Made from Cabernet Franc and carefully matured, it reflects the clay-limestone and clay-siliceous terroir of Bourgueil at its finest. Aged in casks for a year, then bottled in September, thiswine offersa powerful and complex nose, blending notes of ripe black fruit, sweet spices and finely toasted wood. On the palate, the attack is supple, the texture smooth and full-bodied, supported by fine, silky tannins, giving a supple but solid structure, balanced between richness and finesse.
