Driven now by the same values that drove us in 1870, our own-label wines are as important to us now as they were then and we’re excited and proud to release our 150th Anniversary bottling of our Own-Label Claret.

Our claret is carefully selected and blended by Chairman James Davy alongside Maison Sichel of Bordeaux. Sourced from various plots lying on clay-limestone soil well exposed to the sun. We’ve used beautifully ripe Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and a touch of Malbec. 10% of the wine was aged in new oak barrels giving a round and velvety mid palate and soft integrated tannins on the finish.

Expressive aromas of ripe black and red fruits with hints of exotic spices. Equally charming and fruity, the palate is full, rich and warm, supported by silky tannins, a sign of great maturity of the grapes, with a fine fresh finish. A gourmet Bordeaux.
