Distenta Grenache is mainly composed of Grenache and is a blend of grapes from different vineyards of the prestigious Sine Qua Non estate: 11% Cumulus Estate, 39% The Third Twin Estate, 32% Eleven Confessions Estate, 3% Molly Aida and 15% Bien Nacido vineyard. A small proportion ofViognierwas co-fermented with red grapes after being harvested and frozen. These frozen grapes help to cool and therefore slow down fermentation. The wine was aged for around 23 months in 26.5% new French oak, 66.7% used oak and 6.8% concrete. This cuvée blossoms when served, with a deep aroma of ripe, jammy wild berries. Notes of roses and garrigue reward this cuvée for its rich and delicate aromas. The full-bodied palate is wonderfully opulent, its intensity offset by excellent freshness, ending with a long, savoury herbaceous note.
