Dolcetto d’Alba is a dry red wine from the Piedmont region of north-west Italy, made in a unique way by the prestigious Elio Altare winery. The grapes undergo a short period of skin maceration, then the wine is aged for 6 months in stainless steel vats to preserve its freshness and fruity aromas. This is an attractive wine with ripe berries, blood orange and chocolate. Medium-bodied with a creamy texture and chalky tannins, this cuvée is fruity and approachable with a savoury finish.
