Les Chanlins is a 1er Cru vineyard planted on the steepest slopes of the entire Pommard appellation, found just a stone’s throw away from Volnay. Planted on clay-limestone soils, the Pinot Noirs from this site are noticeable darker and more intense than their Volnay-based cousins, bursting with notes of dark raspberry and ripe wild strawberry. Powerful and fruity yet full of finesse, accents of violets and sweet spice round out this superb Pinot Noir from one of Burgundy’s most exciting winemakers.
