Henri Le Roy, a former biologist, relocated to the Jura in 2005 to establish l’Aigle à Deux Têtes (Two-headed Eagle). He cultivates around 5 hectares of vines in the Vincelles area, a village just above Rotalier (home to Ganevat and Labet). Henri farms his vines without synthetic chemicals (though they are not certified organic) and produces wines in the topped-up (Ouille) style, using no additives except for SO2 at bottling. His wines are known for their remarkable tension and depth, and they are featured in some of the world’s finest restaurants.

This particular wine comes from vineyards overlooking Vincelles (recently renamed Val-Sonnette, though locals still refer to it as Vincelles). It offers a distinctive take on Poulsard, with vibrant red fruit flavors and the aroma of rhubarb that develops as it opens
