Carmine colour, the slightly toasted nose exudes complex aromas. On the palate, this wine is round and confirms notes of raspberry, morello cherry and delicate woody notes. It is a wine of great finesse with a beautiful power brought by a traditional vinification (with 40% whole bunches) characteristic of the greatness of its terroir.

STORY BEHIND THE WINE

The craft of viticulture has been in the Derey family’s genes since 1650, when the family first made their mark in the Burgundy vineyards.In 1850, Claude Derey founded the estate in the commune of Couchey. Since then, six generations have carried on the tradition, expanding the estate through new acquisitions of these clay-limestone soils, the cradle of all great Burgundy wines.Today, the estate covers 20 hectares, spread across the communes of Dijon, Marsannay, Fixin, and Gevrey Chambertin
