However, a rebirth in appreciation for lighter styles of wine has spawned a new generation of vignerons dedicated to renewing enthusiasm for Melon de Bourgogne. The Perraud family of Domaine des Cognettes â€?who have been farming Muscadet for nine generations â€?are helping lead this revolution. This cuvée comes from Clisson, one of the original Crus of Muscadet. Crafted from 87-year-old vines and aged in underground concrete tanks for 36 months prior to release, this is a Muscadet of unsurpassed depth, concentration, and finesse. Delighting with flavours of yellow orchard fruit and a delightful minerality, this white is distinguished by its long, balanced, and creamy palate. Thanks to its extended time ageing sur lie (48 months), this wine will continue to develop for over a decade.
