Proprietors of multiple wineries in the Loire, Domaine des Grandes Espérances is their foray into organic viticulture and expressive winemaking. This is their Barbule Crémant de Loire, a stunning sparkling wine crafted entirely from Chenin Blanc, the region’s most celebrated white grape. Sourced from vineyards planted atop flinty clay soils, this wine is crafted in the same traditional method and to the same rigorous standards as Champagne. As a result of the exceptional natural ripeness of the fruit, the wine needs no dosage, making it a light, bright, and effortlessly refreshing sparkling wine perfect for any occasion or palate.

92/100 �With about 36 months on lees and no dosage, this golden wine offers beautiful varietal expression, starting with hayflowers and blossom honey alongside a gentle notion of lanolin and toast. The palate also has a lovely, smooth creaminess and a hay note. This deserves food, ideally with the same subtle herbal nuances. The finish is bone dry, lovely and long.
