Of the 8ha of old vines which sibling duo Marie & Francois Giraud organically farm in the Galimardes vineyard, 1ha are dedicated to white grapes. This white Châteauneuf-du-Pape â€?a roughly equal parts blend of Grenache Blanc, Bourboulenc, Clairette, and Roussanne â€?comes from the classic galets roules soils of the region. A modern Southern Rhône white, this wine is vibrant and light yet concentrated, promising rich flavours and a beautiful mouth feel.

93/100 â€?Crafted from vines planted exclusively in galets roulés in the lieu-dit Les Gallimardes, the 2023 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc Les Gallimardes exhales a delicate, complex bouquet of blanched almonds, white flowers, jasmine, lemon oil and ripe orchard fruits mingled with delicate smoke notes. Medium to full-bodied, tense and dynamic, it’s layered and sappy with bright acids and a long, mineral finish.
