STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Artaban (red), Floréal (white), and Vidoc (red) are modern French hybrid grapes, collectively known as “Resistant Grape Varieties” (ResDur). They were bred to revolutionise winemaking by dramatically boosting the vine’s natural defenses. The key is their polygenic resistance to major diseases like Downy and Powdery Mildew, allowing growers to reduce fungicide treatments by up to 90% for truly sustainable viticulture.

For three centuries, the Floutier family has been crafting wines with care and dedication, passing down their knowledge from one generation to the next. Just a few kilometers from Uzès and Anduze, at the foot of the Cévennes and near the Pont du Gard, the vineyard stretches across Savignargues d’Aigremont and Lédignan. The clay-limestone soils, generous sunshine, and cool nights create the perfect conditions for grape varieties like Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, and Grenache Gris to shine. Every plot is vinified separately, allowing each wine to reflect the character and complexity of its origin.
