This is a stunning Pinot Noir from Jean-Marc Pillot. Produced from a hectare of 65-year-old vines, this is a wonderfully complex and intriguing red, especially for a villages-level wine. Exceptionally structured, it offers stunningly pure fruit notes of sour cherry and wild strawberry alongside a gently earthy, brambly edge which speaks clearly of its Chassagne origin. A prime example of why Chassange should more recognized for the high quality of its red wines.
