‘Le Cheminâ€?is a delightful Vacqueyras Blanc. Made with fruit grown across several plots within the appellation, the combination of hillside limestone and alluvial gravel soils yields a wonderful balance of subtle minerality and pronounced aromatics in this blend of 40% Clairette, 40% Roussanne, 10% Grenache Blanc, and 10% Viognier. Aged in demi-muids on its lees for several months to add roundness and complexity, ‘Le Cheminâ€?bursts from the glass with notes of white peach, apricot, pear, vanilla, and honey. Fresh and balanced, this is an elegant Rhône white that punches well above its price point.
