Domaine Marchand Grillot Gevrey Chambertin is a rich, complex wine from this excellent small producer. Dark, plummy fruit with firm integrated tannins and a finish that lingers in the mouth.

Domaine Marchand Grillot is the result of a formidable partnership, founded in 1950, between two great Burgundian families, the Marchands and the Grillots who both have six generations of winemaking experience behind them. Of late, we’ve been paying close attention to this estate, particularly when proprietor Jacques Marchand assumed more control over the running of the place. Together with son Stephen, himelf a rising star in the Burgundian firmament, this Domaine consistently crafts deliciously supple, expansively flavoured wines of considerable character.
