We had to visit Monsieur Girard personally and beg him to let us have any of this rare red. Made from Pinot Noir, it has a fine and restrained style that is delicate but ultimately delicious if you’re not a blockbuster-style person. One of the truly great food wines that can be matched to both red and white meat and, believe it or not, cheese. We’ve only got a handful of cases, so get it while you can. You’ll have to bargain with M. Girard yourself if we run out!
