In 1668, Dom Pierre Pérignon declared his intention to “make the best wine in the world.â€?For 47 years, in the Abbey of Hautvillers, he broke all the rules and constraints and pushed the art of creation to a level of perfection never reached before in Champagne. Three centuries later, Dom Pérignon still perpetuates that creative ambition with every vintage that they launch. Their aim is to bear witness to each year, whatever the challenges may be, and choose the very best grapes from any of the 17 Grands Crus, and the legendary Premier Cru of Hautvillers.
