Having sold up his stake and moved the peaceful and isolated Anderson Valley, Wells has sought to strip his winemaking down to its bare bones, focusing on sourcing high-quality fruit which effortlessly expresses terroir and varietal expression. Cul Sec is a wonderfully easy drinking, co-fermented blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Pinot Gris, best enjoyed in its youth when its lip-smacking red fruit flavours are at their most pronounced.
