This Gran Reserva Carignan comes from Chile’s Maule Valley, the country’s oldest wine-growing region with nearly five centuries of tradition. Made from 80-year-old, dry-farmed vines and aged for 12 months in old oak, it shows a deep, intense red colour. Aromas of ripe strawberry, sour cherry, toasted oak and coconut lead into a full-bodied, robust palate with firm structure, vibrant acidity and a rustic edge. Concentrated fruit, well-integrated oak and silky tannins carry through to a long, powerful finish with subtle vanilla and savoury depth.
