Nerello Mascalese is an aromatic red grape from Sicily. It is powerful, racy and thrives on the slopes of Etna. The resultingred winesare clear ruby in colour, with fresh notes and a fragrant floral character supported by sweet notes of strawberry. Young wines sometimes stand out with rather present tannins, but after a few years in the bottle, these wines are transformed into treasures of complexity and aromas.
