Franciacorta is a small area in the north of Italy producing fine sparkling wine to rival the top Champagne houses. Ferghettina Franciacorta Saten (meaning satin) is a blanc de blanc with a creamy texture, citrus fruit and toasty notes.

Aromas of fresh citrus, with appealing toasty notes. The palate is complex with delicate hints of smoke and flint, a delicious creamy texture, buttery brioche character and a hint of almond and honey. Elegant with a fine mousse and long finish.

Italian sparkling wine is not all about Prosecco, as leading Franciacorta producer Ferghettina has proved time and time again.

Established in 1990 by Roberto Gatti – after buying a tiny winery and three hectares of vines from a family friend – Ferghettina has grown into one of the region’s most prized Franciacorta producers.

In 2005 a new winery was opened overlooking the beautiful Lake Iseo and from here Roberto and his daughter Laura produce 300,000 bottles of wine annually from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. Meticulous attention to detail, skilful blending and long bottle maturation give Ferghettina’s wines great finesse and individuality.
