This wine is made from Gamay vines around 30 years old, planted on pink granite soils with aSouth Westexposure at an altitude of 280 metres . This configuration gives the wine an elegant structure and a distinctive minerality. Vinification follows a natural approach with a 10-day ‘ZEN’ carbonic maceration, with no added sulphites, followed by spontaneous fermentation and ageing in 8-10 year-old oak barrels. This method brings out the purity of the fruit and the finesse of the Gamay grape. On tasting, the wine has a translucent cherry-red colour with ruby highlights. The nose opens with complex aromas of wild raspberry, redcurrant, violet, tarragon, tree bark, liquorice and green pepper. On the palate, it offers a fruity texture with soft tannins and elegant acidity, culminating in a refreshing, mineral finish.
