Effectively a junior Barbaresco, this is made for earlier and easier drinking. It’s beautifully aromatic, redolent of violets, cherries and a little black pepper with fresh cherry on the palate, supple, silky tannins, fine concentration but also elegance. Quite delicious right now, an excellent accompaniment to a winter supper or lunch.

From twelve year-old vines on clay-limestone soils in Neive, vinified with 20% whole bunch and six months’ ageing in tini (large traditional wooden vats).
