Zavec Brothers wines come from the Haloze appellation in Slovenia’s Štajerska region. Since Roman times, Haloze has been considered one of the best wine-growing areas in Central Europe. The soil on these steep slopes consists mainly of marl, and the roots of the vines are on average 35 years old. This Furmint reveals the formidable minerality of the terroir’s marl-rich vineyards. The bouquet is reminiscent of herbs, white flowers and tropical fruit. On the palate, pleasant acidity and minerality are followed by a discreet creamy aftertaste, typical of wines matured on lees.
