2021 Barolo Albe shows an expressive nose with aromas of fresh cherries, crushed stones and roses. The mouthfeel is bright and energetic, with generous mouthfeel and a youthful tannic structure enriched by notes of raspberry and orange zest. Long, textural finish.

STORY BEHIND THE WINE

G.D. Vajra was founded in 1972 by Giuseppe Domenico Vajra. Today, his son run the 20ha estate and produces precise wines known for their elegance and pristine flavours. His vineyards lie at about 400 metres above sea level in the village of Vergne in Barolo. Aldo adheres to old-style winemaking methods, but also uses modern technology such as temperature-controlled fermentation.
