The south/south-eastern part of the KitterléGrand Cruis made up of sandstone conglomerate or Buntsandstein pudding, while the south/western flank is made up of grauwackes or volcanic sediments. The roots are intimately linked to the earth element. So the earth element provides the vine with the anchoring it needs to develop.Wines made from Kitterlé have a smoky glow, purity, a delicate structure, verticality, linear tension, youthful dashing and a solid backbone.
