From the extreme terroirs of the Agulhas coast, Cederberg’s Ghost Corner Pinot Noir 2024 is a high-altitude wine with a resolutely modern style. Grown on Bokkeveld schist, koffieklip and gravel soils, it is aged for 10 months in French oak barrels of varying ages, giving it complexity and spice. This Pinot Noir opens with vibrant aromas of sweet and sour black cherries and wild forest berries. The palate is lively and complex: the acidity of rhubarb and ripe cherry intertwines with notes of sage and rosemary, and a touch of damp earth. Textured in its youth, it will reward patience as it gains complexity.
