From a family-owned winery situated in a beautiful location on the coast (some outstanding surf beaches are only 5 miles away) where the Salnes Valley meets the Atlantic, just to the west of Pontevedra. The winery was founded in 1990. The Gran Fabian is made with 100% Albarino from hillside vineyards with a sand/granite soil, producing a very fresh Albarino with white peach, melon and citrus flavours, leading to a superb mineral ‘kickâ€?on the finish. The grape selection for quality is meticulous with only the best, ripest fruit making it to the press. 100% natural yeasts are used as the winery has found that trying to ‘tweakâ€?the wine will only damage its balance and finesse. The winery has tried its utmost to make Gran Fabian the most honest representation of Albariño in the Salnes terroir.

As ever, Albarino is very food friendly and accompanies a wide range of shellfish, seafood and chicken (just about any way it can be done).
