Granite–2024–Vignobledel’Ecu

Granite from Domaine de l’Ecu is a white wine produced by Fred Niger in Loire Valley. 100% Melon de Bourgogne from 50-year-old vines, cultivated biodynamically.

100% Melon de Bourgogne from 50-year-old vines, cultivated biodynamically (certified DEMETER since 1998) on southwest facing slopes of stony soils. The grapes are harvested by hand, with yields around 35 hl/ha. Natural vinification: grapes are fed into the winery by gravity, followed by direct pressing of whole bunches in a pneumatic press, with indigenous yeasts, and ageing on the lees in underground tanks. Bottled without fining or filtration, just a pinch of sulphur.
